2 Become 1

One of my main pieces of advice to couples on their wedding day, is “1: Prioritize Enjoying your wedding day and 2: Be Thankful” And Michal and Susan’s wedding day capture every bit of that. With their beautiful children, along for their love story this was truly a day where 2 families became 1.

I asked the couple to tell us a little bit of their love story. Michael and I met at work. He actually interviewed me back in 2011. He has since told me that he knew the moment that he opened the office door. I remember thinking that he was cute, but was too nervous about the interview to dwell on his charming dimples. I got the job, and have been with the company for almost nine years. We formed a friendship and years later began dating. We have become each other's best friends, and have experienced many years of happiness together prior to getting engaged. We had previously been married, and we both have children from our prior relationships. Michael told our kids that we was going to propose, and all three of them were super excited. They kept the secret for days! Michael proposed on Christmas morning. I had no clue he was planning to propose so after we were done opening presents, I was wondering why he was walking back and forth. Turns out that he was nervous. He read a poem/letter to me and I realized half-way through what was happening (meanwhile all three of our kids were bouncing up and down in excitement). I was so happy and touched by the whole thing that I forgot to actually answer the question. Eventually I said yes! We toured Saint Augustine and Savannah in search for our wedding venue. We fell in love with the Treasury and compared every other venue to it. Our wedding at The Treasury was everything we ever wanted and more. It was perfect!

The whole day couldn’t have been better. Congratulations Michael and Susana!
